Nieste Hiking School
A school for hiking? The Hiking School offers great hiking tours with amiable guide and interesting information around hiking in one!
The Hiking School at Nieste, a small village in the Nature Park Meißner-Kaufunger Wald Forest, has to do nothing at all with boring classrooms and monotonous lessons.
The name was all it needed to make me curious to get to know more about the hiking school. And it was worth it! The hiking school offers a varied years programme with many guided experience tours, partly with special topics like Celts and Romans. The programme also includes courses on topics such as hiking with GPS or using maps.
After I have encountered the Niester Riesen (giants of Nieste) myself during a hiking tour last year, I might take part in the meditation tour and the Romans tour this year. That’s certainly going to be awesome!
