A canoeing tour on the Fulda River
That’s the way a perfect Sunday looks like: the sun is shining, the birds are twittering, and you are on the way on the Fulda River together with friends!
The Fulda River is flowing slowly – the birds are twittering and the sun is shining.
Last Sunday, we – two couples in the early thirties – did this dreamlike canoeing tour. Even for a downright canoe beginner like me, it was easy to master the tour. After a short introduction and after putting the lifejackets on at the Fulle-Marie at the village of Fuldabrück-Bergshausen, we embarked and started our tour.
After a little while, we also found out how to steer the canoe, in order not to get too close to the families of swans, which protect their offspring in the case of danger.
Our companions were grey herons, which we had never seen from such a close distance before.
To sum it up: We’ll do it again!
